This is a Mot mot, they are very cute birds. We went on a guided hike through La Selva Biological Research Station and seen him. We were guided on our hike by my former high school biology teacher who is now a professor of a university in Ohio. This man is 6’8″ tall and walked right by this bird! My husband stopped and asked him what kind it was. He turned around and was amazed that he missed seeing it. It was a wonderful hike that we went on that day, we seen so many different things. Poison dart frogs, iguanas, a caiman and many other creatures. Plus, it actually didn’t rain that day. I know this isn’t the greatest picture, but all the pictures I am putting on here are mine, I am not using anyone else’s photos.
